3. Notifications

Sometimes the state of your installation changes while chances are you do not notice it. A modeller may try to help you in such situations by providing a notification. Notifications are delivered through your browser, which usually means through your operating system’s notification system. As MyContexts is, as far as the browser is concerned, just a page served from https://mycontexts.com, it will need your permission to show notifications.

Hover your mouse over the bell-shaped icon in the MyContexts menu. Read the text that pops up. Then click the icon. Immediately, a notification will appear saying Notifications are turned on!.

Next, click the icon left of the Notifications icon (it appears as a dotted line with an arrow pointing downward). This is the hide/show notifications button. Click it and scroll to the bottom of the screen. A new table will have appeared, with a single column titled Message. Click the button again and watch it appear. Bring it forward, once more. Chances are nothing is in it yet, but that will change soon.

Tip
Notifications will appear only when the Notifications table at the bottom of the screen is visible.
